Hello,
My name is George McGeoch and I have been teaching at PJP for eight years. I have the 7th grade home room and I teach social studies and science to 6th, 7th, and 8th.
I like teaching at Pope John Paul because I could not imagine leaving God out of History (or Science). I enjoy the privilege of sharing my faith with my students as we discuss historical events and the many wonders of our natural world.
My goals as a teacher are to encourage my students to live their faith, to prepare my students for high school, and to promote personal responsibility and time management.

Sixth grade social studies covers the Eastern hemisphere, with a strong focus on the Middle East and Israel. Most of the year is spent in General Science with some Physical Science towards the end of the year.
Seventh grade covers the Western hemisphere and in this class, the focus is on South America. In this grade, we pick up where we left off in Physical Science.
Eighth graders learn American History with an emphasis on the Constitution and our government. The Biology lessons from General Science are saved for this year, since most 9th graders take Biology. Also, some introductory Biology lessons are taught.
